This garden was the result of HRH The Prince of Wales’ idea to base a garden on the patterns and colours of two of his own Anatolian tribal carpets. The garden was designed in conjunction with Mike Miller.

Water rills dissect the garden in quarters following the pattern of the paths. Not just decorative these channels provided a practical way to irrigate the garden by trickling water to each corner. At the centre of the garden a mosaic-tiled octagonal platform supported a carved stone fountain with one main spout bubbling water into a lotus flower shaped pool.

Bamber went on to install this fountain at Highgrove once the show had finished.
